Tomatoes Have Black Spots in Center

(West Virginia)

I can't figure out what his problem was. Do you know?

May be black heart
by: Clark

It's the first time I've heard mention of it and there isn't much info available. A picture would be helpful.

Some online sources say it is black heart, a physiological problem that is a variation of blossom end rot, a condition caused by irregular watering and over-fertiliztion interfering with calcium absorption.
