Large tomato worms are stripping our tomato plants!

by CM

Is there anyway to treat the soil around tomato plants to prevent these worms from attacking our tomato plants? They strip the whole stem in a short time. We heard the larvae is in the ground, eventually mature into worms and crawl up on the plant?

Can anyway help us?

Thank you.

I use diagnosis earth. The flour has little spikes in it that you can't feel. The spikes pierce the worms and they die.I sprinkle around base of plant heavy and then rub some on the stems. Try to do when rain isn't predicted or it will wash off.
